Columbus NAFTA Immigration Services
The NAFTA agreement covers four types of work visas. If you’re an individual or business petitioning for one or more of these visas, the experienced business immigration attorneys at Sam Shihab & Associates can help. We routinely handle these visas – and any legal problems related to them – for our many international clients:
B-1 visas for temporary visitors for business
TN visas for professional level employees
E-1 and E-2 visas for “treaty-partner” traders and investors, and
L-1 visas for intracompany transferees
Here at Sam Shihab & Associates we help our clients with any business and employment immigration issues, dealing with all the necessary paperwork that is required to help our clients obtain either their trader, investor or professional work visas. Our legal immigration advisors’ solid experience will guide you in all matters related to B-1, E-1, E-2, L-1 or TN visas. Our law firm is sought after by clients from around the globe, who trust us to sort out their immigration-related matters.
The TN work visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens who seek to enter the U.S. to work at a professional level. “Professional level” work is work that requires a bachelor’s degree (or higher) or credentials such as a professional license. The category also allows U.S.-based employers to sponsor a Mexican or Canadian citizen lacking a degree or a professional license, provided the employee will work in direct support of professionals. There is no cap on TN visas. A sponsored employee must prove Mexican or Canadian citizenship; must prove that he or she will work in a position on the TN listing of occupations; and demonstrate that he or she has the education or experience the job requires.
Most will agree that the process of immigrating to the United States is quite complex. The immigration attorneys at Sam Shihab & Associates know how to expertly guide business professionals and employers and advise them on how to choose the correct options throughout the legal system that surrounds immigration. How do we do this? We are committed to provide solid and well-informed legal advice and representation to our clients.
